At the Thursday night Jam Session, many
groups were mixed up, making for some very fun performances. Here
is the newly formed "Sawrie & Williams" featuring Jerry
Martin, Jonathan Sawrie, Scoot Shelnut, Gerald Williams, and Andrew
Ishee. |
The Florida Boys fortunately chose to
keep their date with GOGR following their retirement. Joining with
Les, Glen, Derrell, and Tommy Atwood was Gerald Williams, who filled in
for an ailing Billy Todd.

Southern Sound returned this year with
a revamped lineup and a tremendous new sound.

The Chuck Wagon Gang presented an extra
treat as Shaye Truax returned for an special appearance with the group
at the reunion, following her recent decision to take some time off the
road.

The Dixie Echoes returned to the Grand
Ole Gospel Reunion after a three-year absence, and thrilled the audience
all 3 nights with their traditional quartet styles.

The audience was both delighted and
relieved to see legendary bass singer Joel Duncan doing well and in
remission following a round of chemotherapy.

Among the many special guests who
appeared at this year's reunion was legendary promoter Bob Brumley.

Back by popular demand, the Un-original
Masters Five again relived the memories of Rosie, James, Jake, JD, and
Hovie.

Late Nite Jammin'
Josh Garner, Jonathan Sawrie, Scoot Shelnut, Gerald Williams, and
Andrew Ishee teamed up to perform the Plainsmen classic "Standing
By the River" and possibly received the most enthusiastic response of the
weekend.
