GOGR 2008 Letter to Fans

Here we go again with another Grand Ole Gospel Reunion! The 2008 Reunion will be held in Knoxville TN, August 14 – 16. The Marriott Hotel will be our headquarters and we will have our Friday and Saturday night concerts in the Knoxville Civic Auditorium. All other events will be held in the Marriott Hotel.

YOU COULD GET YOUR VIP PACKAGE FREE! We will have a drawing on Saturday night of all the VIP purchasers. I will reimburse to the winner the total of a (VIP package for two $730.00) or (VIP for one $595.00) whichever purchased (does not include extra events or people). We’ll have our Thursday night concert/dinner and jam session; Friday Let’s Make a Deal Show, the Friday night concert, breakfast and jam session; Saturday we will have our Piano Roll of Honor, our afternoon jam session, the Saturday night concert, breakfast and jam session. The 3-night VIP package includes Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Marriott and 2 tickets to each of these events.

The Friday afternoon shows are additional events not included in the 3-night VIP package. This year we will have Up Close and Personal with the Dixie Echoes and the Florida Boys. Charlie’s Party is Wednesday night, and as always, if you book your room through the GOGR office, tickets are FREE to Charlie’s Party as well as the Thursday morning movie. (While tickets last – Limited number tickets available)

The auditorium is within walking distance – one block however, you must be able to take stairs. Therefore, we have arranged for shuttle services for those of you who will need it. As in the past, we MUST know this in advance – we cannot sell these tickets at the show. You may drive from the hotel to the auditorium. Handicap parking is available.

I must remind you that there are NO REFUNDS regardless of the circumstances. A sheet is provided for you to mark your choices. Help us by filling out this paperwork and make your requests in writing. If you must call our office and receive our voicemail, leave your name and number, including your area code and we will return your call.

Sorry we are a bit late this year; but I have had extensive negotiations with a few folks in Knoxville and it has taken me a little longer to pray with them than I thought it would. I try to leave this up to Eva Mae, but since she has turned 90, she is almost impossible to deal with. I am anxious to see you, and I look forward to an exciting four days!
